Yeah my tabs would not necessarily work tho...you'll need to do a custom install on that...or do a little parts swap....haha

^ X2.
I can't seem to get the CEL away from my Mugen Cat and now I am thinking of replacing it just to stop looking at the damn light. I am searching many posts and trying to find out which unit seems to have the least CEL's and also good performance.

We will probably reduce those lights but I can't guarantee they will stop. Cars are getting too smart!

I installed the FLP 2.5" TP a little over a month ago and from my experience coming from a T1R TP: fit and finish is not quite up to par w/ T1R quality. The flange that mates the catback to TP had to be worked over to line up and I throw a constant CEL light where as my T1R never threw a code in a year & half of use. When I PM'ed Marcus on the CEL issue he admitted to
"probably" drilling the hole too large and I should find a solution myself. Seems the "assurance" the FLP pipes/cats won't throw a code stated in earlier posts/threads didn't walk the walk. My $0.02 fwiw

I am not sure on the fit/finish thing there you never mentioned anything to me on this. It's a straight pipe, not sure how that can really be that off. What cat-back are you running? Stock or aftermarket?

As far as the CEL, I am not sure I meant "probably" drill the hole too big, I meant "possibly" in all likelihood. It was a number of weeks ago Anyway, if you get a spark plug defouler it may well solve the issue. Interested in trying it?

I am interested in trying to resolve your product issues.

I'm still using the OEM exhaust Marcus. I'd appreciate a de fouler since you seem confident you drilled the hole too big on the TP

UPDATE. Marcus agreed to send me a de-fouler in an effort to stand behind a product he endorses and has talked up here on the forum for some time now. He sent this to me as a sign of good faith and upstanding customer service since, for all Marcus knew, my CEL could have come from some other factor. The defouler did resolve the CEL issue and the only other issue was flange fitment that, after discussing it with Marcus, was acceptalbe for an early production piece and would/should be resolved w/ the new batch of pipes being put together this week. Thumbs up to Marcus for helping to resolve an issue that would likely not have been resolved if it had come from an ebay seller or some random online seller with a low price. Thank you Marcus for making this right and I look forward to buying more parts through Heeltoe (albiet quite a bit more substantial than all my other mods so far)

THANKS SO MUCH for the feedback! We have ordered the next run of pipes now and we are revising the cel eliminator features on both the cats and the test pipes!
