Single Exhuast Benefits over Dual
From what I've heard it's not great on performance to have the dual exhuast setup that most cars have these days. Since it's coming from a single Cat and the splits off. Are there any advantages to this other than having the "dual" look?
Would it be more advantageous to replace what I have now with a single performance exhuast system?
Again, I don't know much about performance... just need some things cleared up I guess.

If you want all out power, the single pipe, rear cat, flw-through design is pretty much your best bet.
However, you can still get respectable gains from a twin pipe, twin muffler setup. It will help make your exhaust system slighly quieter. I think it's the whole idea behind the stock TSX setup. I would hope they didn't just put it that way for looks, because that is a pretty heavy system.

I do think that the reason is for sound reduction as well as for looks. It gives a more aggressive look and does cut the sound down some.
Of course, a dual exhaust design minus the mufflers with nothing by pipe after the cat would probably give some minor performance gains, maintain, the look, and improve the sound.

The stock TSX dual system probably flows pretty good, but no doubt could be improved upon. However, I think the biggest gain to be had from going to a single pipe system would be a weight savings.

I also think going to single exhaust will provide decent performance gains. You'll save approx. 40lbs and improve airflow. Our stock exhaust has restrictions like our stock intake. The split in the exhaust definetely reduces airflow.... Does anyone know where we can buy a single exhaust system for the tsx?

I dont know, persoanally unless im racing i dont think the hassle is worth the outcome. Ive got the intake, just need the H/E, even if it dosent add much to complete the package.

Noise is definately an issue for me. I want the car to be quiet while driving and louder on full throttle, idle, and low revs. I was really thinking about the fujitsubo's but then again if I can get something in a single exhuast, then I don't mind the hole... Maybe I'll stick a pipe there I've seen it done before.

I'm sure you can get any exhuast, just make sure the specs will match the car so it'll work with your tuning setup. If you go to a shop that knows what they are doing they can probably bend the downpipe and fit an exhuast for you.

I had it on my Accord. It was seriously loud, but also pretty efficient.
