Shipping ECU
Reflash time is fast approaching - I'm doing it in about 2 weeks. How should I package the stuff for shipping? Are the ECU and immobilizer pretty vulnerable and require heavy padding or not, and should I box it or just one of those big yellow envelopes? Also, what can I expect to pay for shipping?

Bubble wrap them first, then put them in a box. The imobilizer is a plastic piece which can be damaged easily, so don't use those padded envelope. Just treat the content as fragile items. I'm not sure if the deal is still going on, but many people got their reflash with free overnight shipping.

If he's still offering free shipping that's my man. I just can't wait to get it done. The last weeks before doing any mod makes me crazy like a kid before Christmas!

If you put that immobilizer in a yellow shipping bag it will get to Hondata in 100 pieces. Just bubble wrap everything and put it in a reasonable sized box. I would also recommend putting your name on the ecu and immobilizer with a small piece of masking tape.. and put a key ring with your name on the key... so nothing gets mixed up or lost.

Thank you for the good advice. I'm sending it out in a few days. Kindle Racing is still offering free overnight so that's who I'm dealing with.

No Immobilizer = car will not start (even if you have the ECU in place)
No key = immobilizer will not recognize signal to send to ECU to allow car to start)

be sure to post your reflashed impression thread
When I had my first round of mods done about 9 months ago (Injen CAI, Comptech short shifter, Comptech rear sway bar) I took the car on a twisty road near my old house. All I could do was laugh as I was doing 60 through S curves! I'm expecting about the same this time from what I've read so far.I
