Rotors Poll: Racing Brake, Powerslot, Rotora, or Brembo Blank
The next upgrade I'm going to do will be my brakes. I've already decided on Hawk HPS pads based on feedback from other threads. I did a search, but I still don't know what rotors I want to get.
Which rotor would you guys recommend?
What is the life span of a typical aftermarket rotor?
Any pros/cons of each brand?

I vote racing brake.
If I would have seen them before I would have bought them.
Also check out this company as I have heard good things about them too. http://www.dba.com.au

I like the fact that i can get powerslots front and rear even though the rear is more for looks. can you use racing brakes up front and powerslots in the rear with no ill effects?
voted for RB's btw

Thanks for the input so far guys. Right now I'm leaning towards either the Racing Brake UP or Brembo Blanks.
Cost wise the Racing Brakes cost almost twice as much as the Brembo blanks though. I'm trying to justify that cost.
Do you think the Racing Brake UPs will easily outlast the brembo blanks? I'm hoping I can get 80K out of the of the RB UPs. I do mostly highway driving. How realistic does this sound to you guys?
The main thing I'm concerned about is warping. Are the Brembo also designed to be resistent to warping?

i put the rb rotors and hawk pads up front at 20k.
last week i took the car in for rear pads and rotors at 65k. while i was there, i had them check the fronts.
still alot of meat on the pads, and rotors are within spec..no warping, no rust, nothing.
i can honestly say the racing brake rotors are the best quality ive ever seen.
and i drive like a maniac.

Are the RB rotors heavier than the OEM rotors?
Did you notice any difference in acceleration after they were installed?

I would probably get the G3000 blank rotors at cobaltfriction.com. at 70 dollars for the front rotors and 40 for the rears, i think its a hard value to beat.

I have Brembo Rotor Blanks and Hawk Performance Ceramic pads up front. Generally I'm pleased. Performance wise, this setup is much better than stock. Two months already and no hint of the dreaded TSX steering wheel shimmy. Slightly less initial grab than stock when cold (North East winter), but good stopping power overall, especially when warmed. I've gotten on them pretty hard a couple of times so from that I'd say that the combo is a tad better than stock in terms of overall stopping performance. The blanks are rock solid. - No performance vices...just...I was a little disappointed that the rotor isn't protected against rust, especially the hat area. After all it's just a blank, right. I believe the stock rotors had some type of coating or something in the area of the hat (center). Minor gripe I know, but it could be a problem if you have upgraded wheels.
Good luck w/ your choice

Not sure if the Powerslot weights are that different though.

If so, what brand are you going with?

Go with the Racing Brakes. I would want something that is supposed to be better than average brembo blanks if I had a supercharger.

and by invest, like you said, investing can have multiple definition. Usually people think investment will involve in making a profit. Profit is defined as a gain. Thus, if we tie back everything together, what are you gaining from a supercharger and more stopping power?? Happiness, fun, utils (for economists). We are young, we shouldn't only invest in things that will gain material profit/gain. We should invest in something that will give us a gain in happiness, thus = our car mods. I mean, if all you care is investing in things that will result in a profit of money, then why buy nice clothes? mods of cars? eat nice food? It's just a preception~
