When you conceal the unit...where do you put it?

All you need to do is unplug the wires from the right side of the unit...right?

I thought blue would be cool to match the ambient lighting but white should be hot too since it matches the gauges...

Works great. The a/f ratio reads about .4 lower than my standalone wideband O2 sensor. It's pretty accurate though. The cable is pretty long. YOu should have no problem mounting it there and running the cable down the A pillar.

Also, what color is the shift light LED?

On the Brockway website, it says it's yellow, but from your pic it looks orange/amber.
I got the white display.
Install was quick. 15 min. I have it mounted with double sided tape now. The velcro was making a little noise going over bumps.
The shift light is probably more orange/amber. It's easy to get any color LED you want though. The LED just plugs into a connector.

Since I have have doublesided tape I don't take it off anymore. When I had the velcro I would just put it in the glove compartment and lock it if I'm somewhere ghetto.

Yes. Just unplug the harness on the right side. Very easy.

Nope. Has a Troutslap counter on it though. The reading on your TSX would be through the roof :troutslap

Yep. The business trip = vacation!

Bunch of friends rented a beach house close to the Santa Cruz area. It was a solid 75 degrees Now I'm back in 105 degree weather though

Hope that answers your questions tho 3Pedal. And that's cool that you got one too CCC

I'm planning to get one of these for my birthday...which is coming up pretty soon.

You say that you got the white display, but in the pics on the first page, the display looks green. Is it just the flash from the camera that is making the display look green?

By the way, do you happen to have any night pics of the unit?

Thanks Tsx536

Nope, won't fit. I took a look earlier. It's just a little too wide.

Yeah I got the white, the pics made it look green. I don't have any night pics. I can try to take some if I have time. My schedule has been pretty full lately, so bump this thread and remind me if I start lagging

I think it's a Vacuum Flourescent Display (VFD) from the looks of the pics and the website.

^^ Yeah, I'm not sure myself. You might want to email them and ask.

I can see it fine in all lights though. It hasn't been a problem at all. This is with the white display though. I don't know if the other colors are hard to see in the sun.

That is the update. Look at the user manuals. Also, you will need a converter box to
use it with the factory Nav system becuase it is composite output and the factory
Nav screen is RGB input.

I've been shopping around for a while to find the best monitoring gauge. That is how I ended up on this thread.

No one here has tried the Nitrod gauge?

I borrowed my friend’s Nitrod VPM-100G for a week. And I liked it a lot. I was just checking to see if there was anything out there that offered all the same features.

I think I like the VPM-100G better than the R920.

They don't list Acuras (or Hondas) in their compatibility list. Were you able to use the OBD2 port functions? Or only the accelerometer? (If only the accel, would it be cheaper to go with a G-tech?)

If you have a laptop to spare, you can get an OBD2 program & cable, but then it's hard to mount it on your dash. Seriously, if I were doing serious testing, I'd probably go with the laptop approach, but I like the idea of the realtime display mounted right on the dash.

Now it just needs to be set up as a HUD.

I think you misinterpreted the information on their site. The list they have on the site is the list of cars that are not compatible.

Here is what it says on the site:

Compatible vehicles (1996 to 2002)

The VPM-100G works on all vehicles (cars and light weight trucks), model year 1996 to 2002 and most vehicles model year 2003 and up. If your vehicle is model year 2003 or up please consult the non-compatible vehicles list below.

In the non-compatible vehicles list there are no Hondas or Acuras listed. Meaning that it should work for any 1996 to 2005 models. They say you have to contact them to verify the compatibility if you have an 2006 or up.
