Reseting the ECU

did a search, not much came up.


For those who have installed intake/header/exahust

did u guys reset ur ecu's? if u did, is it just as sample as unplug
the (-) for 5 mins? thanks.

No need to reset the ECU. Just drive the car around and the ECU's build-in programs will adjust the settings accordingly. Resetting the ECU is a myth and only apply to service situations when a part is replaced to correct a MIL or CEL and erases the stored codes.

MIL = Malfunction Indicator Light/Lamp
CEL = Check Engine Light/Lamp

I have the K&N CAI.
