Do a search on EPIC motoring. His name will pop up. He was the one who recommended to do them on the spot. I'm too damn lazy to do it right now.

If I'm not mistaken Hondata reflash test used icebox combp right? Sorry for the long questiion.
The Injen provides better gains, a little more noise. The icebox is supposedly a little quieter. The sound of the Injen is great - not obnoxious or lawnmowerish - more like a Boxster at WOT. There are clips of the Injen at full throttle here somewhere, both inside the car and out. I don't know if there are any clips of the icebox. I'd go with Injen if you want the most hp gain.

Thx... yeha I have decided to get the injen CAi too. just too good to pass out on a deal. On ebay I saw a black injen Cai for $208 with free shipping.

5. Fuel economy doesn't suffer at all. If anything it's better. I just realized that I went 190 miles on 1/2 tank of gas, including stop and go Jersey shore traffic, and a lot of WOT. Not something I would've expected.

The injen gives you more HP gain than the icebox. The icebox gets its HP earlier in the rev range.

If you add any kind of forced induction or other major engine mod you'll feel a definite change in the car's acceleration - that pin-you-in-your-seat feeling. With this it's just filling in torque where there previously was less so the car pulls ALL THE WAY to redline. It's hard to describe without actually driving it before and after. It's like they just put something there that wasn't there before, but should've been.
I think I have experienced the "before" scenario too vividly, especially today.

Mind you I had the AC on but still, I'd imagine with Hondata it would have been much different, much better... here's what happened:

Pulling out of right turn in 1st (heading toward beginning of highway) then punched it WOT right after crossing some railway (didn't WOT before that otherwise might hop and break traction going over the railway), pulled all the way to redline + little bit (just before fuel cut); upshift to 2nd, WOT... then came the "big torque hole" from 5k rpm on until VTEC kicked in again, hit redline again then up to 3rd, then short-shifted through the gears and cruised.

I told my wife we just redlined twice. Even she was like... "Really? That didn't feel like it." She clearly remembers how it was in the 98 Prelude and can tell the difference too! And she's not a car nut by any means.

I need Hondata... I told her Hondata would make it right!

I've been progressively feeding her about Hondata, rearsway upgrade... Even asked her if she thinks the wheelwell gap (especially front) is a bit big, she agrees!!! I am working toward a bit-by-bit mod plan all pre-approved (or at least not pre-rejected ) by Mrs. 05_TSX_GP

I am interested in the gains from hondata, but I don't want the noise of an intake.
I am running all stock besides the reflash. Just from my "butt dyno" the car definitely feels peppier below 3k and once you hit 5k, it pulls a lot stronger till 7600. The best thing is when you shift at 7500-7600, you stay above 5k and on the big cam!

Sure, with my '69 427 Caprice. It's not about whose car is faster or better, it's about which car fills the need you have. Straightline acceleration = big block Chevy. Refined, classy sports sedan = TSX. I'm getting the reflash and Icebox, though. Don't need to be too refined.

Patience, Grasshopper, patience. Good things come to those who wait. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Hondata makes the car go faster.

YES!!!!! Go for it. I'd love to see what your impressions are. You have an AT with an Icebox? (like me)

I'm running stock right now but if I get the reflash I think I will get a dyno done with and without the icebox just for grins. Most likely I'll wait until my second check in two weeks.
