So I believe I might have asked this before, but I'm not sure, and I'll ask again.
I'm sure I'll get plenty of giggles and eye rolling but, how much do you guys think it would cost to get an Acura dealership to convert my car to manual transmission? I know, it's a stupid idea, but I'm just curious.. would it cost more than $4-$5k?

Oh here we go again. Let's all follow along now... ITS A HORRIBLE IDEA and I don't think that the dealer would even consider doing the job.
As to the actual substance of your question, 4 to 5 thousand seems about right, although I have nothing to base that on. You'd surely not be that much in the hole if you did a private sale and picked up a 6MT with roughly the same amount of miles as your auto. Might even be able to trade up to a new 6MT for that much!

I think 4 to 5K is a low number. I'm thinking upward of 10k with parts and labor. Just think about the parts you will need, especially at dealer prices.
Another option is to go to the dealer with your AT and pay perhaps 5k and drive away a MT. You choice.
Transmission assembly
Clutch assembly
Clutch master and slave cylinders with lines
Clutch pedal assembly
Shifter housing assembly with cable assemby
6MT ECU
Left drive shaft assembly
Misc hardware
Massive labor @ $100 to $ 125 hr

just not worth it. it was much easier back in the day but with todays cars its not easy or really possible. just go trade back for another car if you want it that bad.
