this has been a process several months in the making, and i would like to say, i have my hands on a application specific high flow cat for the acura tsx.

i donated my stock cat to these guys so they can make one for us, and what a masterpiece it is. i just recieved it today in the mail.

the cat is made entirely of stainless steel - there is less honeycomb material than the magnaflow cat i temporarily bought from jtso.

the pipe looks longer - the resonator part smaller = more airflow for my tsx.

wont have time to install until maybe this weekend - will dyno again.

i'm dying to see how my car fares against the hondata tsx w/ just intake and header.

my current engine mods include:
comptech icebox
comptech stainless steel header
comptech cat back exhuast
hondata reflash
hondata intake manifold gasket

and now...random technologies high flow cat.

enjoy.

You have email.

i actually have dynoed my car with the following mods on a mustang style dyno:

comptech i/h/e
hondata reflash

i will revisit the mustang dyno with

hondata intake manifold gasket
random high flow cat.

i will also go to a dynojet so i can get a comparison to everyone online.

cheers and long live the trout.

i cant access my personal email account from work, and my cell phone doesn't have reception, but i will work with random on getting a GB in order.

and there is no way the random cat is going to cost as much as the comptech header.

haha whoever wrote that is really funny

Looks like this will provide lots of clearance for those with the Cusco TypeII lower brace too.

Yeah, show us a good dyno and I'll replace my Carsound with one of these. Spun body cats are the sexy sweetness.

i tried to contact the shop that i did my dyno last time to schedule a new one.

mesp is 329.

but a distributor can sell it for less than that, and obviously, with a Group Buy, it will be even cheaper.

That could be a really good price via a group buy if the gains are good.

Robb just got back to us about getting vendor status to host this GB. We will be doing this very shortly. We have the green light from Clay and according to him, they need 3-4 weeks to make and ship. So just for now, we will be getting a head count while Robb gets back to us on where we have to send $$ to become a vendor.

Thanks Zee. I appreciate you doing the dyno and getting this all together

I wonder if the cat will effect low end power.

I'm curious about the reduced ID of the downstream side. The flanges on my cat right now are both 2.5" ID, to match the ID of the Fujitsubo catback. Is the OE catback 2.25"? I thought our cars were 2.5" all the way through.

The stock A-pipe/aftermarket header A-pipe outlet ID is slightly under 2" but the cat inlet is slightly larger than 2". The stock cat outlet and exhaust inlet are both around 2". Most aftermarket exhaust inlet is about 2.25" ID.

Got home today, and look what FedEx Ground left (cat not included):

Too bad it is 22 degrees outside and sleeting. However, it will be in the high 50's this weekend.

Thanks Dzuy and Dezod.
