Rears only are not that expensive....for those who got fronts from me in the past, I can make a special deal for you on a set of rears!!!

jiggaman 07-26-2006 10:54 AM

i'd like to hear about a front/rear plus pads combo deal :)

TSX2345 07-26-2006 10:54 AM

F & R Combo!

Reach 07-26-2006 12:14 PM

Is that pricing per pair? ie: order 1 for front and 1 for rear is a full set? I'd be up for 4 matching slotted sometime...

dom 07-26-2006 12:26 PM

Will they be below $110 each?

TSX420J 07-26-2006 12:30 PM

Wow now I think I want these to put with the fronts when I do my rotors..

xizor 07-26-2006 12:31 PM

Definately looking forward to these, what's w/ the slotted and drilled rears now but no fronts

chuson 07-26-2006 12:35 PM

Hey MrHeeltoe~
I sent you a PM last week but you never reply me, I guess you are too busy......
Anyways, I want some Brake Rotors and RacingBrake are on the top of my list, can you give me a quote on a set of Front/Rear, and a quote on JUST Front. Thanks

TSX420J 07-26-2006 12:38 PM

Anyone see these two peice rotors for the tsx.. They are 300mm x 28mm and with a hefty price of 280.00 or something like that each.. But they would be nice to have with the rear set..

mg7726 07-26-2006 06:13 PM

are the pics accurate?? the rears on the RBs are ventilated....no fitment issues? oh my!

aaronng 07-26-2006 06:30 PM

Damn, the 2-piece rotors are $280 each? That's like $560 for the fronts alone! The circular vane cooling might make it all worth it though!

Yeah, they are expensive, but very high performance and light weight with the aluminum hats. Also, RBs exclusive center mounting pattern is an industry rarity. The main advantage is teh weight savings.

Keep in mind, the regular UP rotors have the curved vanes as well!!! For most of us, the one-piece UPs are going to be a more-than-adequite performance upgrade!!!

It may have something to do with the inherent weaknesses of drilled rotors, and the fact that the front rotors do a lot more work when stopping the car than the rears do, so they are not as easy to design drilled rotors for that will offer a performance upgrade as well, or even be safe to use in performance driving. I think the braking bias on the TSX is about 75/25 F/R under heavy braking (per StopTech's website), so the rear rotors can get by more easily with blinging drilled rotors but not the fronts. But really, I have no idea.

jiggaman 07-26-2006 09:56 PM

weren't the price for rears supposed to be posted tonight?

CCColtsicehockey 07-27-2006 07:37 AM

hmmm racing brakes rotors slotted rear with 2pc slotted up front and spoon calipers. I might have come up with my JDM brake setup.

MrHeeltoe 07-27-2006 10:06 AM

I suck, I fell asleep. Sorry guys. #1 priority for me this morning!!!!!!!!

Actually, they just came out 3 days ago. I don't think anyone has them yet.

Good assessment. But actually, about 3 months ago Racingbrake found out one of the rotors from another car actually fits the rear of the TSX, so they put it in their catalog. As is so happens, that rotor is only available in drilled and slotted, while only slotted are sold for the front. It did not match, so many people did not buy them. That is why they came out with slotted only rears.

Another fact is, the quality and build material of all Racingbrake rotors dispells many of the weaknesses we know of on drill rotors. They are actually very strong and not prone to cracking like many others out there.
