Racingbrake rotor propoganda

http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sho...d.php?t=167245

This is the same rotor material made for the TSX, TL, CA, and Accord. Thought you guys would be interested.

Note, we are not using the same pads. I recommend Hawk HPS for the street.

Hmmmm, very tempting. Could you PM me with a shipped price on a package deal for the front rotors and a set of four pads, and a SS line kit?

I've got mine in the trunk waiting to be installed. Goodbye soft OEM brakes, hello Racingbrake/Powerslot/Hawk/Goodridge big boy setup.

Is a group buy possible for the Racing Brake rotors?

No, I don't think so. These prices are the lowest I can go.

There's no point in replacing the rear rotors, I suppose.

Is it recommended to change the pads at the same time as the rotors, or does it not matter?

I like the curved slots....

Generally I would put new pads with new rotors, but you can put new pads on used rotors too. I would avoid putting used pads on new rotors though.

since RacingBrake didn't offer any rear rotors I put Powersluts on the rear. Both front and rear were padded with Hawk HPS.

I haven't been able to finish breaking them in yet but I am very pleased. Since they are ferrous pads they require a little heat before their full potential is felt. This is extremely evident when you get them warm, run straight and steady for 5-10 minutes, and then hit the brakes.

The RacingBrake's vent designs really helps cool the rotor and subsequently the pads MUCH faster than OEM.

I'm very happy I did this upgrade. I'll post some better feel responses once I've gotten some sleep.

exactly what I did (Goodridge lines, RacingBrake UP, Powerslut slotted rears, and Hawk HPS, to be precise). The lines have made very little difference in the few runs I've made so far. I guess they'll have to get really heated & then I can compair them to OEM based on memory.

The Vavoline Syn Power DOT 3&4 fluid seems to have the second initial effect:

there was a far amount of rust and particulate matter we found in the lines when flushing.

again, I'll let you know once I,properly, cook them how the setup feels. I'm sure it will be fine.

Nice avatar. You are bringing me back.

The lines should make a direct and noticable feel in your pedal. They are not going to effect the braking as much as the pedal feel.
