Question on clearing big brakes
Question on clearing big brakes
well I'm thinking about purchasing either Brembo gt or rotora big break kit. But my rims(axis mod seven 18x7), they don't clear them as far as I know. Will there be a way to clear them with spacers??? Spacers won't interfere with brakes?? let me know
You should contact the brake kit manufactures for a template to determine if the brakes will fit the existing wheels or not. If they don't fit the existing wheels, the best approach is to get wheels that fit. If you are spending that kind of money on brakes, might as well do it right.
The Brembo GT's should clear. If you do get them, note that replacment pads are about 300 bucks and they are only good for > 30k miles. However Hawk does make and HPS pad that fits the GT kit, once mine get here I can post the part number. Also note that replament rings are about 280/piece and bolts are another 60 so you at almost 1k if you have to do a total brake job.

ROTORA uses a diagram to measure if the brakes will rub or not. Worse case scenario, have a universal 5 lug 5mm spacer on hand just in case it does rub. Later on buy a H&R spacer for a permanent solution. If you need a ROTORA BBK let me know; I have one in stock with a red caliper. I also will be carrying Stoptech soon too.
