You'd be the 1st if you were to do this, but it'd come off as more "poser" than "power".

Unless they are really small tips, I don't think it will fit with the OEM rear bumper.

Yeah there's not much space in that rear bumper. And really small tips would look pretty bad IMO. I don't think this is a happening idea on the TSX.

This is true.

Once I'm done with forced induction, I'm going to be picking up a single-exit exhaust. For now, the Tanabe MT looks and sounds great.

A balanced car is symmetric. Unless the single exhaust is coming from the middle, the car would not look so good.

Single exhaust exiting in the middle of the car would look like the car's got an asshole. See: Porsche Boxter, Chrysler Crossfire.

ROFL !

Single exhaust with a muffler coming from the middle is the coolest thing I can think of.

a dual tipped center exit would look more ballsy and would generate more poinies as there will be no major bends

One exhaust per cylinder? On the TSX it would definitely qualify for "poser" status.

In and of itself it doesn't look terrible but knowing that it's a 4 cylinder car and single pipe all the way back, it's lame.

Never was much of a fan of the fartcan style exhausts, regardless of who makes them.

i like the quad exhaust. but i would look for something a little more like the exhaust from the tl-s. something that blends into the bumper a little better. little more subtle.

Why not have them coming from both sides to keep the look symmetrical? Weight savings?

TSX has only a single exhaust. No matter how many times you split the single exhaust or how many mufflers/tips you put on it, it's still exhausting through a single pipe. You'd have to change the whole exhaust system to get a quad exhaust, not just the stuff you can see from the back. It's bad enough we're all faking a dual exhaust Posers FTL.

This thread reminds me of the Audi TT-S I saw today with a 4 cylinder engine and quad tips. I couldn't stop thinking of how much of a poser look it is, even though it looks pretty good

How is quad exhaust tips poser? What if you didn't know what engine was in the bay of the car.

The quad exhaust might look nice on the 09, due to the more musculine and defined lines. The gen 1's were more smoothe and clean lines.

The quad exhausts come in the is-f which might give a rough idea as to how it would look. I dont think its suits the euro imo

The reason for the two exhaust tips on a stock TSX is because that halves the gas flow so that each muffler can reduce the noise substantially (for noise emission reasons). If you took a muffler off and blocked the resulting hole to make it a single exhaust tip, your exhaust would be louder.

I agree. The A-Spec TSX Concept only in my dreams, and reality replaces it with the 09 TSX.

u see, many of us wanted an AWD turbo TSX built on the base of RDX, BUT TSX is an entry level car... the rice has to be kept down. And yes, that a-spec TSX looks good, but same thing happened here...

please someone correct me on both of these if im wrong...

the quad exhaust is cool and all, but too much back flow?

second, IS-F is a dual exhaust, not quad...quad tips but two outlets...

other than that, im stickin with my dual exhaust with a single mid pipe

Quick Reply: quad exhaust anyone?
