Possible to hit 13's with NA TSX?

I read an interesting article in the latest Honda Tuning on an 11 second NSX with stock engine configuration. The guy pretty much did as much as he could to shave off as much weight. Even bought a 1 of 2 in the US $9000 10lbs CF Hood. His titanium Brakes and Aluminum Callipers took off another 90lbs. This thing is 300 LBS (2,840)!!!!! Lighter than it came factory.

He changed his gear ratio's with the NSX-R giving 64MPH at (8,000rpm) in Second Gear.

He ran a 12.41 without nitrous and a 11.40 with his 100 wetshot nitrous.

I'm wondering if it's possible to shave off that much weight, while maintaining stock interior. Are there enough swaps available to cut off a few hundred lbs? And even with that is a high 13 possible w/o FI?

His car looks damn sexy though...

At stock power the TSX would need to be ~ 2300lbs.

I'm going to guess

Does having nitrous still count as NA?

Nitrous definitely != NA

13's are very optimistic for a TSX especially one that is NA and stock interior. You're probably better off looking at a Vette.

I wonder what the 1/4 time is for the Dazz TSX.

Has anyone here broken into the 14's with weight reduction and I/H/E? I remember sauceman hit pretty low 15's.

Teh sauce could do it if he wanted to. His 15.3 was stock.

He might even be able to get 14s with just some decent tires.

nitrous is not NA. its exactly the same as a torbo or supercharger. i.e. the forced induction of oxygen.

Forced induction is usually referred to positive pressure within the intake manifold that can be measured by psi. The effect of nitrous can be similar which introduces more oxegen and fuel to create more power.

Edit: on second thought, I guess it can be considered as FI as well.

Hehe...that Sentra article was hilarious.

And I think 13s might be a bit much. With a lot of money put into the motor (port, polish, stronger & lighter internals, higher redline, proper fuel management, bolt-ons, cams, etc.) and a near totally stripped interior, it might be possible. But then, why would you get a TSX in the first place if you're planning on doing that and don't race professionally?

Mmm personally I love the look of the TSX and the style of the interior. Its not a big deal that it doesn't have impressive track times, but I who wouldn't love to pull 13s in their car without forced induction?
