Perforated Core/Louvered Core Resonator

"Resonators
Resonators are smaller diameter mufflers. They lack the volume of larger mufflers but fit in places where a full size muffler will not. Use them to help quiet down a loud system. Different lengths will affect different sound frequencies. These will help reduce droning on systems with just a single medium muffler at the rear.

Perforated core resonators do not affect flow at all. Louvered core resonators will flow about 5% less but do a better job at silencing things."

Which do you guys think I should go with ? I installed a open track pipe/ free flowing exhaust system i have 2.5 inch piping. I think If I go with the Louvered core I might get more aggressive sound which Is what I want. Im not a 100 % so I wanted to know has anyone done this yet ?

What is the outcome you want to achieve? Better sound or better performance?

With my current setup I have the raspiness, I want to get rid of that so with the two options described above thats what i am going to choose today. I do want better performance, I guess better performance would be the louvered core and the better sound would be the perforated core am I right ?

That's exactly why.... You have to decide if you're interests are more towards better performance or better sound.... It's all a matter of personal preference when it comes to these things....

Did this project also this weekend. Came out great ! My exhaust sounds pretty good. I am still getting the magnaflow mufflers and it will sound even better. I also changed my spark plugs NGK Laser Iridium of course for the win !!!!. Car performs a bit better. You notice it as well. Next project getting my kyb struts done for the rear this friday.
