You would use the +06 Si one to fit 04-05 TSXs since our TB's ID is smaller.

Ha I know that there is no hondata intake manifold spacer, but I am saying that if there is a chance to install 1 gasket intake mainfold instead of buying the TB spacer and 2 gaskets because of not enough space for CAI. It seems almost same installation as Hondata gasket. That's what I mean. But moda_way said +06 Si TB spacer and gaskets will fit on +04 TSX. So I will buy it later someday.

so somewhere, you're going to have to shave off that length on the injen or k&n to make it fit. it works for the icebox b/c the air tube is hard rubber and somewhat pliable.
So this mod can bolt-on without additional adjustments if you have a Comptech Icebox? No cutting?

yep. like i mentioned in the diy, once you get the rubber air tube back on (from the air box to the TB), it's a pretty tight fit, but it'll have enough slack for the extra inch or so.

you may have to fiddle around with the fitment. i noticed after i put everything back on, there was a little crimping by the end of the airbox. i'm going to clean out my K&N filter sometime soon, so i'll probably line up the tube better then.

I spoke with Sean at PowerRevRacing and asked him if +06Si TB spacer and 2 gaskets will fit +04TSX, he said no because of a little different design and need to modify on TSX. He said that they will make one for +04TSX later. What do you think and any suggestion? Let ask moda_way or Jtso.

Thanks,
George

I'm pretty sure someone on the forum here did it already and said that the bolts line up and the ID are the same. There was one difference if I recall, trying to rembmer, but it didn't affect installation or fitment. If they are going to make an 04 TSX specific application, then they need to do it. Let me do some searching though b/c I do remember someone doing it.

EDIT: just found the reference to it...

Does that include the 2 gaskets though? Excelerate has this entire setup for $120 shipped (check for Canada) and you can't beat his service or price.

Not sure what you guys are referring to in regards to cutting, but I have Injen CAI and the P2R TB Spacers w/ gaskets, nothing was cut. Only tiny issue was the bracket on the CAI that bolts to the battery tie was shifted over by an inch. which was solved with a small metal bracket I got from Home Depot.

The brackets cost something like $0.79 (yes, cents) for a pack of 3 or 4. You will have to bore out the holes in bracket for the bolts to fit in.

It looks good with bracket from home depot and glad that it didn't require to cut Injen intake. I wonder if it feels any gain hp?

I spoke with Rob from Teamxxxracing.com on phone about 06 Si TB Spacer with 2 gaskets on 04-05 TSX, he said that it will fit but the coolant passage is different design. He also said that they will make one for 04-05 TSX for other 1 to 2 months. Check the comment:

Hi George, After talking with P2R, They are planning on making a TB spacer and gasket for the 04-05 TSX but it won't be for another month or two. You are correct about the 06 Si being the same size and it does have the same bolt pattern, but the coolant passage is different so modification would be needed on the 06 Si spacer and gasket for it to work with your car.

So the price will be $108.00 shipped with 2 gaskets and TB spacer for 06Si. I probably prefer to wait for new part on TSX.

HEY... I resemble that comment!!

I'm gonna see what Excelerate can find out about the 04-05 TB release date. When someone says, "We'll have it done in a month or two..." often means, "We are waiting for some sort of demand that makes us want to manufacture it."

lol, don't hold your breath, P2R's TSX gaskets wait time was horrible, like 2 month delay or so.

Hey I spoke with Sean at PowerRevRacing yesterday and asked him when will P2R TB spacer and gaskets be in stock for 04-05 TSX. He said that it will be ready by third weeks of June. I also asked him if TB will offer 3 different colors of red, black, and gold? He said no, because he decided to make black one only instead of making too many TB with different colors. I told him let me know thru Email. I want Red one!!! But I guess I will accept the black one. :shakehead

Hey check the 06 Si polished and red TB spacer picture:

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/excel...tb-spacer.html

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/bolt-...-tbspacer.html

I thought that both TB colors looked nice on TSX engine bay with red and silver. I spoke to Rob at TeamXXXRacing and told him about the black TB spacer color offering only for 04-05 TSX. I also told him that I like Red, he said that yeah but he can try to get a polished TB and will email me back next week to find it out.

You will see it from under the car. It's item #3 in the pic. Not very easy to get to but it can be done.

JTso is correct about # 3 to release the Intake Manifold bracket. When I installed P2R gasket in IM, I removed the bolt at number 22 with bracket number 3 to move IM. It was a little pain in ass to remove the bolt under the car.

As was mentioned P2R will be doing the 04-05 TSX spacer so you can wait for that if you like. And if you do the TB coolant bypass the 06 Civic Si spacer should work just fine.
