As long as you buy a brake kit designed for the specific application, it should be okay. If you're not careful, you may run into brake proportioning issues that will actually result in longer stopping distances.
i remember readin an article about this.
it was about the vortech civic si coupe.
they changed the front rotors and didn't notice a huge difference.
then they changed the back rotors and they stopped a considerable amount shorter.
so they concluded that rear brakes do matter, even in a FWD
