Newbie with a question
Hi all
Been browsing the forum for a little while now and am now sold on a rear swaybar !! Sounds like a great mod for the price so have ordered one up from AofE Parts (Comptech one that is).
Anyways I have a question regarding the bolt torques. Does anyone know what the settings are for the end links and the two inner brackets ?? Have read all the info here but can't seem to find anything about torques. Any info would be much appreciated.
Darren
P.S. Cool website BTW

Should just about keep me going whilst I save up for the A-spec suspension.
Finaly managed to get my Comptech rear sway bar fitted although not without issue
Dammed drop link bolt was rusted tight and would not come off (great for a 2 year old car
) so I had to get it replaced. Suffice to say it doubled the final cost of the bar but having done a few hundred miles with it on it was definitely well worth it.
Some of the old threads have summed it up already but I just have to reitterate what a bargain upgrade this is. Even without the suspension/damper upgrade the car has been transformed and understeer has near vanished. Body roll is much reduced and the car feels a whole lot more balanced. Most noticeable for me however is how the steering has been affected. Given that the rear end now follows the front end the steering input required has reduced by quite a large margin. It now seems though that most of the input before was needed to wrestle the rear end round the bends.
Can't recommend this mod enough
