new news turbo in the works....
ok remember when i first got here i was tellin you all im gunnin for 400 whp with a turbo. well im one step closer. I just got sponsored by a local shop and they are doing all the R&D on a custom turbo manifold for the TSX its costing them 3500 to get the manifold made...and thats just 1 manifold. its gonna be cast so it will be very durable...i kinda wanted tubular for an extra 20 hp but hey a free manifold also makes me happy.
so this is what i have
t3/t4 stage 5
delta waste gate
Greddy type S BOV
Vortech FPR
Greddy boost controller
2.5 inch custom exhaust...ready for turbo
and in the process of being built the turbo manifold....they said it will be a few months before they get the right set up for maximum power but hey they can take thier time if its free for me you know lol. Now just waiting on a way to tune it. I'd even be crazy enough to use one of my apexi VAFC II but cant figure out how to hook it up. the shop is thinkin about tryin an electro motive i think is the name stand alone. we will see if they can find a way to get it to work with ivtec and drive by wire. if so then im in....gonna pull the motor once i have everything. Call my boys down at AEBS and have some sleeves sent up get some pistons and rods. Send the head off to powerflow and see what they can do. maybe even kryo the block. I need it strong for the boost i plan on runnin. low 13's high 12's will make me happy...but low 12's is optimal. So hopefully in the next 6 months they will get the manifold done and then its all up to me to find rods and pistons for it. wish me luck i will update you all as i get more info

Wow, if you get that thing setup and get some time slips then you will answer my question here without a doubt.

If you are going all out for 1/4 mile will you be doing anything as far as weight reduction?

I am an all around performance guy handling, speed, looks, comfort....such as the tv's and a ps2 hehehe i do it all plus when i show the car timeslips and dyno sheets help alot with the judges

stoke, thanks for wanting to be our guine-pig on the turbo set-up!!
hopefully you dont blow your engine trying to lower your compression or raising your boost!!

lol i wont blow up...no worries i have way to much time on a dynos with turbo engines to blow up. with the stock block and right tuning i should be able to handle 6-7 psi on 92 octane. i plan on lowering compression to about 9.0:1 and getting the head built as well. when i do this it will be done right. as of now im just sittin here in hawaii soakin up the sun and relaxing...chillin with some homies having a good time. the car is on the back burner for now. especially since its gonna be at least 6 months till the R&D on the turbo manifold and then who knows how long till hondata comes out with a K PRO for the TSX. i wont be doing it till then....im crazy but not stupid lol.
