need new brake pads

I'm about to replace my brakes, I'm torn between what pads to get. what does everyone suggest between EBC RedStuff and Hawk HPS pads?

I'm looking for something for daily street use. 80% highway driving. needing to come to a quick stop is a necessity at least once a week.

I don't particularly care about brake dust.

these will be paired with slotted rotors and stainless steel brake lines.

Red Stuff is overkill for most people. The Green Stuff have quick and more linear cold bite at the expense of some fade resistance. In my experience, unless you're going to be bringing the car down from speed rapidly and repeatedly, you will never get into the heat range where the Red Stuff pads outshine the Green Stuff. The Green Stuff, unlike the Red Stuff, are ready to supply 90% of their stopping power the first time you hit the brake pedal. The Red Stuff are more like 50% until you get some heat into them (2 or 3 quick stops). The brakes go back to being cold after being on the highway a short while too so if you do a lot of highway driving, the greens will be better suited to your needs.

I ran both Red and Green Stuff pads on my Civic. Replaced the Reds with Greens after about 6 months because of the heat issues. The Reds will develop a little more grab than the Greens once they're warm but the Greens are still plenty strong. I've not used HKS but I've heard good things about them. Hawk too.

Hawk HPS will do nicely for you. I ran them for a year or so before installing my big brake kit (and still run them on my rear brakes). I have no experience with the EBC products, but haven't heard anything bad about them.
