my 5 Speed AT TSX Dyno Baseline ???

ok, so yesterday i brought my car to Intec Racing (in Kent, WA) for a dyno baseline run, since i've never done dyno run before, and i was afraid that i might do something stupid, so i let their guy do it for me, all they have to know is the redline for my car, so i told them is 7100 RPM (i gave the dealer a call and 7100 is what i got, somehow i had all the tech info stored in my computer but i just never remember those numbers)

so here's what i got, two baseline runs, max power = 143.5 / 146.6, max torgue = 119.8 / 120.2, my question is...how can they be so low!!!

you guys have seen JTso's dyno run (we guys did dyno at the same place) in the "DC Sports header installed and dyno result", i know he's got the 6SP manual and some mods, but...should there be a huge difference like this, i mean...should the dyno for stock 5 SP AT TSX (with a bit heavier wheels) be like this

Hmm.... the numbers seem kind of low. Unless their dyno puts out lower numbers. Dani, could you send me your dyno files? I'd like to compare them with DynoJet Runviewer.

Thanks,

JTso...
we ran the dyno on the exactly same dynojet, didn't we!? so i really don't have a clue how can i get the low number like that!? the only thing i can think of is the heavier 18" wheels i got (28.5 lbs each), but that shouldn't make all this difference...

oh, cant you just save the picture above as another file into your computer? or PM me your e-mail add and i'll sent the file to you^^

Hey Dani, the actual dyno file will allow me to see the condition during the run as well as comparing speed. The heavier wheels can affect the result, due to the fact they have to spin on the roller in order to calculate hp and torque. The dyno operater remember to turn off VSA, right? Btw, you have pm.

28lb!? what wheels ya got? post a pic

The Injen baseline AT was ~160HP 145Torque so yours are waaaaay low. If anything your butt dyno should have been able to feel a huge drop in power when you put your wheels on if that's the cause? Does it still feel the same?

There are some questionable things about that injen dyno (even they have tried to answer some of them). The truth is this is the first "independant" AT dyno we have. I'm sure the 28lb wheels made a diff, but I wouldnt neccesarily expect what we saw from Injen.

xizor...
you can find the answer thru

Stokeless_TSX...
back from Hawaii!?^^
honestly i dont know what the temp was, i had their guy run it for me and Lawrence was there operating the computer, so ya...i totally let them take control over it since i've never done dyno before and it's just better that way

184.6 wheels hp!!! with stock TSX rims... did you have any mods when you ran the dyno!?

btw, i know the result we got from dynojet is the "wheel HP", is there a certain fraction we should use to convert it to "Engine HP"!?

I agree with the questionable Injen dyno chart. Even Dani's dyno curves match those of 6MT including the vtec spike.
