no, the k-pro can be used w/ any engine modification. a lot of rsx's simply use a hondata reflash when they get an intake because the new fuel mappings are much more effecient and bring out more gains from the boltons.

read this article, it explains what a reflash can do link

xizor and stoke, good lookin out fellas, will this k-pro cost the same as it does for the RSX.. around $600 bucks, cause i heard it was expensive, and i should hit up the bolt ons before i get this right, otherwise ill have to keep getting it tuned...?

Don't confuse the "K-Pro" with the "Reflash". The K-Pro is a complete programmable ECU. The Reflash is just an updated program for the existing ECU and it's not programmable by the user. The K-Pro costs a bit more.

The reflash is $600. The K-Pro is $1000 if you send them your ECU and $1600 if you want a new ECU with the K-Pro installed.

Also I'm pretty sure the K-Pro (or reflash) is for 6MT only.

no problem man thats what we are here for. Kpro is more benefical in my opinion. Look at it this way. The hondata reflash is based off of them tuning it for i/e, i.h.e, i/h/e/c, but if you are using different cam specs and a different intake than they tuned the reflash for then you will still have the possiblility to make more power with the K pro. The K pro is for over all tuning allowing the users to get the most out of thier engine. So i would spend the extra bucks on the k pro and get it retuned everytime i added something.
