AT -> MT convert cost?

I know what you're all probably thinking...no im not trying to swap out my tranny...even if i spent the cash for it...i get a ECU that wasn't MT, the gear ratios would be whack.

What i was wondering was, how much do you think, it would cost me from the dealer to swap my 06 - 3000 miles during the summer for a new 06 or used 06 MT?

Something tells me its gonna cost me at least 5k....which i hope not. 3k i might just do...

You're better off selling it private party. If you tell them you want to get an MT instead they'll totally be willing to buy it from you, your loss their gain kinda thing. There's always that suspicion when buying a car of "Well, what's wrong with it?"

If your TSX is only an 06 you are going to take a huge hit for the trade in or even the sale. I'd wait about a year or something and then maybe you'd get a chance to trade her in for the redesign that might have the RDX turbo in it.

Man, I don't know what's up with so many people getting a AT and then realizing they should've gotten an MT... Usually the case with the younger crowd. Honestly if you're looking for speed just stick with the MT, the TSX isn't a fast car and not worth the loss just to get a 6 speed.

Now if you want it for the pure driving fun that comes with a Honda MT. Then go for it! It should be less than a 5K hit. I would sell privately as well and then use that money to purchase a 6MT.

Not looking for the speed, just looking for the high-reving fun!

Of course, my dad's looking to get a new commuter car.

swap my tsx for him and get a mt myself? I don't knjow about getting 2 tsx's in the family...kinda wierd...yet im off to college so its not like its really part of the family's car. At the same time...i can't see my tsx in any other color than black...2 black tsx's?...shrugs.

I always thought you got a MT, acn. I recall you were even making plans on practicing to drive MT so you could bring the car safely to school.

Ask you father to take your TSX and get yourself a 07 MT .
