LEDs
LEDs
If i was to change out stock bulbs to LEDs for the turn signals would I have to get the LED Load Equalizer. I have read places that you need this for the turn signal but wasn't sure. http://discountleds.com/tailturn.htm

does anyone have pics with these leds in?
i've always been curious as to see if it was actually worth it. thing I like about the LED's most is the 'instant on" "instant off" qualities... its pretty cool.
if aeurgx or whatever would get Fury back his lights i'd really have something to drool over :-

I just wanted to see how the LED react to the turn signal compared to stock bulbs!

Turn signal issues with LED bulbs
LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with thermal flasher units due to their extremely low current draw. These installations will require an electronic flasher unit, available in our car bulb shopping category (for some vehicles) or at your auto parts store. Try to find flashers designed to work with LED bulbs, they will say "LED compatible". Often HEAVY DUTY flashers will also work with LED bulbs.
Another fix is the installation of Load Resistors which are wired across (in parallel with) the turn signal bulbs to simulate the load of a standard filament bulb.

I've also switched all my bulbs out to LEDs (except turn signals and tail lights...long story behind the tail lights). I'm planning on doing the tail lights and turn signals when I get a little more cash in my pocket.
I ordered the wrong lights for the tail lights, the halogen website listed the tails as 7440 instead of 168 type like they actually are. I'm not sure which 168 type will be bright enough for the tail lights, so I've held off on getting any LEDs yet. My brake lights are done though, it just looks a little strange with some of the bulbs being LED and some being regular.
I'm going to do the turn signals this spring sometime, I'll post pictures than.
I had an entire write up done on the LED conversion process, but apparently threads that haven't been posted in for a while disappear, so I have no idea where it is. If you want, I'll post some pictures, I have great pictures of LED vs. regular bulb brightness in both the day and night.
Overall, I'm very happy with the LEDs, I'd recommend the conversion.
