Lightbulb K Teller Mandrel DIY Exhaust Kit

Hello everyone new the the Acurazine 1st Gen TSX forum, on a few other TSX forums and wanted to share this with you guys too.

There is interest on the other forums but i didn't want to not share it with you guys. This is what were trying to do....

I my opinion the exhaust systems don't really gain enough power for the price. It's outrageous!!! $600-1200 or MORE(ie Mugen Kits). I'm not made of Gold. I'm just made of 61.8% Water, 16.6% Protein, 14.9% Fat and 3.3% Human body weight. Like every other HUMAN! That works. No gold there.

So what do you guys think about asking K Teller to make us a Mandrel Exhaust Piping Kit?

I have been reading lots of stuff about the kits and from what i have been told its good for the price and anyone can find a good muffler shop to do the work.

Just wanted to run it by the forum. Let everyone dwell on that for a while. I'm sure there is one member that is in the area of Pensacola, FL that would be willing to be the Donor/test car.

What you guys think?

This is an example of what the guys work looks like. For a 98 Prelude...

And this is an image of 2006 exhaust system as an example

I think this would be a great addition to the exhaust options. There are some many ways you can use this kind of kit.

More afordable way to go road racing, cheaper and much better way for a custom exhaust. There are SO many mufflers out there that i could dream of using on the TSX's but they just dont make them. Turbo guys are going to love this way cheaper way to get your 3" exhaust.

Hope there is some interest. Thanks for checking the thread.

I ran their 3" exhaust on my RSX-S when I went turbo. Everything I needed was in the kit, it was a FULL 3" (most 3" exhaust systems bottleneck at the cat, because a 3" 3 bolt flange is too large to bolt to the stock cat/test pipe/or header) and it fit flawlessly. I was beyond impressed with the pricing too, AND I was able to decide on any muffler I wanted.

I'm in FL, I'd be down.

Will these be fit on a TSX as they are built or in a jig?

I was thinking of doing this:

From the cat a, single pipe back to this muffler:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...=main&id=10000

Then out of the back (2), run 2.25" dual pipes all the way back to (2) individual mufflers.

Instead of the "Y" where we go through a single muffler first, and then go and split off to the (2) mufflers.

I thought this design would reduce some backpressure, this is a perf. core muffler, but my only question is if there is enough room in the tunnel to run (2) pipes next to each other. There may also be room to stagger (2) of these to further reduce noise:

Thoughts?

From what i understand he has a Jig and he is going to get a donor car too. He likes to cover both bases.

Will pass your thought on to him..

Were still looking for interest people to add to the list. Leave a post on what you would be interested in getting made for your car.
