K&N intake purchase from Car Domain

Just a heads up on ordering from Car Domain.com. I purchased a CAI (K&N) from cardomain. The site indicated Fed Ex shipping (ground) for 10 dollars. I thought great, it will be here for the weekend as I ordered on 2-21-05. Unfortunately, I got an email saying that they were going to Fed Ex but not until 2-28-05. Damn it, when did companies start playing this game. I'll never order from this place again, if I have to guess as to how long it will take them to ship it. Anyway, I removed my resonator to get that part of the job done. It only took about 40 minutes thanks to the many good posts and instructions online. The number one tip for the infamous screw behind the fog cover is the 10mm rachet wrench. Can't remember who said it but GOOD CALL! Hopefully the CAI will be here by next weekend.

Cheers

I didn't know Car Domain did anything but host pics.

The FedEX trick is used by many sleazy online retailers when they don't have something in stock. If I were running that business, shipping would be free if the customer had to wait for an out of stock item.

Maybe a phone call to complain is in order...

most likely they don't stock the K&N at all. I ordered from hopupracing and they just forward the order from them directly to k&n's warehouse and its sent from there. i don't think cardomain has a big enough store to warehouse parts, they just go right to the supplier.

Angry

Well, here it is the 1st and it hasn't shipped yet. I cancelled the order because they didn't know when it would ship. Off to find a place that can ship next day. Any suggestions of places that actually stock either the Injen or the K&N CAI?

Peace

Well, I went to overboost.com and since they can just drive over to Injen and pick up the part, they are able to ship today . A wee bit more pricey but at least they can get their hands on an actual product. Good customer service as well.

StreetImage, one of the AcuraZine vendors stocks the Injen. I don't know about the K&N, but they probably have that too. I got my Injen from them, and it worked out great.
