I highly recommend the CT-E Ice Box. Nice gains without all the noise

+1 on the Ice Box. Helps on the low end. Car already has power on the high end. There are a few threads on this topic. Search... : )

To me it looked like the icebox had the best gains without losing torque.

i have the K&N typhoon 69, got it on amazon for like 50% off. Loud when you want it to be and quiet on the low end. i think they claim an increase in 4-5hp, but thats whats expected from an intake for our cars

I have the injen intake in CAI mode and absolutely loveeee it! quiet when you need it to be, loud when you want it to be. on the low end it has a nice deep growl and just mad aggressive on the high end. I've seen a dual AEM intake on my friends g37x SRI and it sounds like a fart can compare to my injen.

just my .02 cents. Enjoy your intake which ever one it may be!

I've enjoyed my K&N CAI for the past couple years. Sounds good during the low-mid range of the RPM band; yet up top it is loud.

I love my Injen just installed it yesterday on my 07 was a pain to get some pieces out when i installed in in cai mode. The resonator was connected to a couple other tubes i didn't read about on the diy's but other wise install was easy quite like stock until you punch it. But when you do it sounds like a beast. and the loss of tq. is minimal from sri to cai mode.

Injen Intake FTW

-CAI set up for High End gains
-Short Ram Setup for Low end torque and increased responsiveness

As for the sound, Cruising around it sound quiet and OEM.

When you floor it, it has a deep tone that isn't a growl as others put it. It sounds refined and tuned and is very pleasant IMO.

I recycled my Jim Wolf Technology (JWT) from my 2K1Maxima. I put a flange on it and a Spectre adapter, took out the box. The only issue is it makes the car sound meaner than it is @ WOT. So the sound is cool, but Stock W/ a loud intake is kind of ricy for me. I am working on surrounding the filter in a cold air box, that may help the obnoxiousness of it. Hate to floor it, make some noise and then get blown away anyways. That said I do like the JWT, came with a velocity stack, and K&N filter. Gave great gains on the Max, butt dyno on the TSX - jury is still out. But MPG is better, and avg comes up quicker than stock intake. I will eventually post some pics on my car domain site.

+1 on the HPS intake, can be found on ebay for around $100. Can't go wrong with that. No problems after 2 years with it. Sounds deep , when you step on it, quiet just cruising around.

really? i've been researching online and it seems that I can't find one for 06-08. Only 04-05 available.

Can you please tell me what is the part number? (It should be on the side of the piping.)

Do you have you injen set up as the CAI or short ram?

I have the DIY with the factory parts, just like the comptech icebox. Most people use the K&N factory style filter for ungrading as well so total cost is about $45. HP improvement and still quiet and factory looking
