ground the black wire means u connect the black wire to any metal on your car, bolt
basically red to positive, black to metal on ur car.

ok so you connect the red wire to the red wire and then put the black one to metal with just a bolt. but i thought there would be no power to the lights sense there is only positive going to it. but then again i am not that good with this and thats why this forum is so good sense u all help each other out. thanks again!

That sucks!!! Anyone know what wires to tap into for some single rear LEDs or would a tube be better?

Well i would say the best place for a switch would be in one of the empty slots next to the VSA and sunroof control switch. I'm not sure exactly how i would go about doing it. But that is where i would put it. Either that or under the dash somewhere out of site.

Well i did it before in an older car i had. I just took a switch, cut a hole in my dash, and put it in. Then attached the wires to it so it ran in between the power and the LED's. That was pretty cool but id want to pick a nicer switch if i did it in my TSX.

Well I don't have a tsx (yet) my dad does though and I love it. I,dad, almost every tsx owner wants to make it go faster like at least 30-40 more hp. And I was searching for some mods and found this and said I must sign up!! So I did and all of u are very accepting thanks. But would eletric tape or a wire connecter be better for those LEDs. And I should have the blue LEDs for map door and dome light this tuesday with pics I hope.

you can ground a wire to anywhere on the chasis, usually screws and bolts are good places to do this. Connect an eyelet to the end of your grounding wire, and put a bolt or screw somewhere under the dash through it.

Can I just use the metal hinge in this picture? And then just leave it alone when I install it in the car?

yes please!!! I think suttle blue LEDs under the dash would look nice and match nice with the blue LED up above and above the bins. But they must not be over done!!!

wow that looks nice i just need to get those LEDs now. So you just strip the wires and connect the positive to the red then the negitive (from the LED wire) and bolt it to metal on the car? cool pics again

yea i know that was 2 years back

1. its not leds its neon tubes(i used to sell them)
2. i only turned them on to show buyers or take pics for buyers
3. i got free install on them and didnt much care for them
4. it really wasnt that bright either or it didnt seem that bright
5. i would never do it to my tsx
6. i was just showing how the neon tubes look, also the led tubes arent as subtle either they are almost the same brightness as the tube almost.

So this is the wiring for the green light when i pull out the storage bin. So here's my newbie question. The red wire is positive, and I guess the black is negative, right? So if I attach the positive of my led tubes to the red, what's the point of "grounding" my other wires?
