Injen SRI impression

i've had my injen for ~ 3 months
it's been great, worked awesome.

today, i decided to change it from CAI to SRI.
couple reasons, in NJ/NY it rains often, and some people have experienced hydrolocking due to excessive rain.
i know it rarely happens, but i hate avoiding 1st lane highway and etc because of water hydrolocking into my CAI.

anyways, SRI was easy install, actually too simple and easy
jus plug out the long tube and put filter into the short ram.
fitment is very good, thanks to good injen products.

i've been hearing SRI being noisy, and yes it is a bit noisy. CAI is also noisy anyways...
yet, it feels more responsive, you can hear/feel that the tube has been shortened, and air sucks in much faster. also feels like i gained back my stock low end torque...
personally, i love SRI way than having CAI with hydroshield and worry about hydrolocking.

*Other side notes* I've debadged, put black tint on front amber sides, looks awesome.
Greddy Evo2 is on its way, and before i bring my car back to college in september, i'll post some nice pics.

it's raining outside, and imma go out now and try my SRI .

Yeah SRI is ok but once you hit 90s and start frying eggs on the hood, sri becomes heat-soaker~

did you have to remove the bottom tube to put the filter on?

you can simply remove left driver's tire, take about 3~4 bolts out, and partially (little force needed) take out the plastics underneath the car.

just remove enough so you can reach the CAI filter, unplug it there and take out the filter.

you now go upto the hood and take out the bottom tube, keep it somewhere else, and put the filter back on.

Yes Newplay1 you are right, but how many times will i be driving above 90 for 1+ hour in my daily driving.

plus, in michigan winter? , it will be cold air SRI. lol

I'm gonna change mine to that when i leave for college in a couple weeks, just cause my dad will be taking the car to work and I don't want him plowing through puddles (he will, too) and worrying me.
I'll probably make a heat shield, too

I live in NY and I've plowed through puddles and yet my car is still riding strong. Just don't drive it when you have tornados rolling through your neighborhood like what happened in my borough on Wednesday.
