Injen Install Voids Warranty????

Does anyone know if installing the Injen AIT will void factory warranty?

Also, I have 2600 miles on my 06 and I like the car but no totally impressed with the power...is anyone else unimpressed?

I can attest to the fact that even in Canada, without consumer protection laws like you have in the States, that I am picking up my car on Monday from getting a complete teardown and rebuild.

I have an Injen CAI. Since it wasnt the cause of the problem, it wasn't cause for concern for the dealer or warranty.

It seems that everyone has their own opinion but is there anything in writing from the factory regarding aftermarket parts?

If you aren't impressed, why did you buy the car? I think everyone that loves their car on this forum knows that it's NOT A FAST CAR. If you wanted a fast car either get an STI, EVO, or spend the extra cash and pick up an M3.

Either way, I don't think it voids warranty, even though your dealership might give you crap for it.

i loved this car from the first i laid eyes on it.....and after I test drove it I made the decision that this car offers everything I was looking for hands down....but now after owning it for three months I have different take on the vehicle......

It just needs some additional power and it would be perfect...

The CAI I am debating whether or not to install....I have the part sitting in my living room for months.

I do not ant to rice this car out just improve the performance...

The CAI literally doesn't give the car a noticable bump in power as would the Comptech SC. It however let's you hear the wonderful sounds of the K24 engine.

Sound: Great. Deep, throaty (lol, deep throat), NOT ricey. Sounds extremely healthy and quite nice.

Its not too hard to install. I would recommend NOT taking the bumper cover off, as its unnecessary. I believe the K&N instructions (visit their website) shows the wheelwell method, which is the recommended method.

Took me and a friend about 1 hour to do. The only PITA is the dreaded bolt behind the bumper. With a gear wrench, however, it wasn't bad at all.
