Injen Cai Installed

Hey yall I finally installed the Injen CAI last nite.
I installed it in SRI mode untill later this week.
Reason being me and my bro in law are gonna install it when we install my rims off of my 03 accord i had. We are gonna try going thru the wheel well to install( any one did this method?) as opposed to taking out the bumper.
I also got my windows tinted 20 percent and needless to say the car looks meannn oh man cant wait to drop it!!!.
My impressions on the INJEN in SRI mode is it definately has a growl to it. A nice sound, havent noticed any power gains cause it was raining yesterday and i didnt push the car however i will today. Also later on in the week when i do my sway bar, and convert the injen to CAI ill post some impressions over SRI.
The sound takes some getting used to but isnt overly loud that it drowns out your music. Now when you pass people up they look over and think youve got a monster under your hood lol.
Well Thanks for your time!

You know I've taken my resonator out, so you probably know what I think of the method for not taking off the bumper. Good luck with it all and I think it would be great to hear your impressions of removing the resonator without taking the bumper off in order to make the Injen a true CAI.

I'm really interested in your info. about the sway bar upgrade.

When I put on my Injen CAI my resonator was already off. Basically I had to take the bumper off to get the resonator out. But, to install the CAI later, I just went through the wheel well to bolt down the "vibra-mount", add the filter, and tighten the hose clamp.

HMMMM Lung Fu That may be the approach we take.
I love the subtlity(SP?) of the intake i mean at cruising and normal driving it sounds stock, but when you press on the gas to pass someone up it sounds like tiger attacking sigfried and roy.
Very mean!
The sway bar should arrive this week im gonna call comptech to get my tracking number they failed to email me!!
Also did any of you guys that got the injen seen that they now have available the chrome spark plug cover and intake manifold covers?
They look pretty sweet on the black and white photos i may order those gonna check injenonline.com to see if they have full color.

I agree. One thing I don't like about a lot of exhausts is that they are "on" all the time. I don't want a racer when I have to drive 200 miles...that's just a big headache. But yeah, until you open it up, it's a sleeper (still kind of is since there not that much power increase).

Well its been raining alot over here so i havent gotten to push it yet on a highway but after driving it for 2 days in SRI mode. I notice some very slight power gains. Mainly in midrange and high rpms. I have an auto tranny. Low end seems to not be effected, ive heard stories where people say the low end suffers with CAIs.
I will be running in CAI mode later on in the week and will be able to offer a comparison on the two. But i definately notice some gain judging by my ass dyno i would say a good 4-5 whp. Im guessing the 10 thats dynoes will be felt in CAI mode.
Also I think i may have just been lucky in terms of my ECU has adjusted to the SRI quicker than others cause i definately *feel* some more power. I also now realize i long for lighter wheels for better take offs.
On a side not i emailed comptech and they replied to me and said No dyno graphs available now but soon they will be up keep looking on the site.
And sway will arrive on Friday!

cool.. i'm very interested to hear the impression of an auto user. My main concern is that at highway cruising speed 2500-3000rpms there will be less power than before. You didn't notice this though?

Lighter wheels and tires will probably make more of a difference with the tsx than any other mod than Forced Induction

I'll tell you in my 6MT in CAI mode that you feel the torque really pick up around 3000rpms. Does this mean no torque below or just more gains above I don't know.

I really dont notice any gains below 3000 rpm with the injen intake in SRI mode at all.
After that definately noticeable if you drive your car daily and know how it feels to you before the intake install, you will notice the install afterwards. I too was planning on getting 19s but now im leaning towards lightweight 18s because the only thing that gets on my nerves is the initial pick up in the TSX. Maybe a future mod will juice that up some hopefully.

Wilfredo,
There are no dynos plotted out just yet. We will have them available soon. Please check back later for new updates. Thanks.

Thats from comptech so we'll have to wait and see unless someone wants to go ahead and buy and dyno themselves.
