Injen or AEM SR owners
Hello.. I just have a question for you guys..
I just have a stock intake at the moment.. I am debating whether or not to get an aftermarket intake.. BUt while i still have my stock one.. WHen i rev to 7300.. on the way there .. I can barely notice the vtec switchover point.. Just a slighttt tiny sound.. haha. I drive a H,B series before.. I can hear it even with the stock intake..
Now here is my question.. WIth these AFTERMARKET intakes.. Can i hear the VTEC Switchover on a TSX motor?? , If anyone can answer this.. it will be gladly appreciated..
.. Before I buy Injen or AEM. I like the sounds on the tsx engine cousin.. the RSX.. that motor sounds aggressive.. ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks.. Sorry dont know where to post..

i put on the Injen CAI and i have too much good to say about it. the sound is amazing, it feels like a new car and im not even exagerating. it feel more responsive at lower rpm as well, the old intake system couldnt handle the intake levels at low rpm for air, a nice racing intake makes a difference.
and ive been driving WOT alot lately, and i get equal km/tank as when i drove soft with the stock.

I say forget the CAI And just get a comptech icebox. Good fit and finish and proven quality and power with non of the risk of a hydrolock. You just miss out on the loud sound of the CAI.

my mistake then. I remember that on the CLS and TLS the gains were the same if not better with the icebox than with the AEM CAI. It must be different for the TSX. when you say lack of power do you mean it causes the engine to lose pwoer or that it just doesn't make as much power as the other CAIs?
