im confused.. replacing muffler exhaust?

So i'm looking for ways to get my car a deeper sound without changing the entire exhaust, since that doesn't really do much on our tsx. I was searching and came across this:

http://www.amazon.com/Performance-Mu...8776196&sr=8-4

If I put that on my car, or any other similar item, what exactly would that do?

hahaha okay thanks. I'm planning on going to a muffler shop now to get a quote on how much it would be to make my car sound louder and to change my exhaust tips to some customed ones.

Does anyone know about how much it would cost? I dont want to switch out my whole entire exhaust system.. only the muffler and exhaust tips. Thanks!

You'll end up spending $300 on a pair of crappy rear cans oddly hung when you could spend 2x more and get a full cat back system that has quality built into it using factory hangers.

You could just get comptech mufflers and have them put on by an exhaust shop. Should be about $150 a muffler (so $300) and less than $100 to have them put on.

Just don't expect any substantial performance gain doing the exhaust, you will net a measly unnoticeable 2hp or less rocking a full cat back exhaust. It is one of the lowest bang for buck mods for the TSX.

Do the resonator delete (free) and get the hondata reflash ($295) and you will notice the car a lot more.

just my opinion. But if you just want exhaust to be loud, go for it.

just bought some magnaflow mufflers with new tips. i love the sound! Drives like stock, but the sound is not too loud, and not too quiet, and very deep toned, with almost no droning! Exactly what I was lookin for!

There was a long thread about modding the stock exhaust to get better exhaust sound on :
http://www..com/forums/1st-gen-engin...k-exhaust.html

I ended up removing resonator "B", the one in front of the dual rear mufflers. It sounds close to stock but has a lower growl, which i really like.
