Couldn't find anything on the forums already so....
If adding upgrades to your car, how important is it to upgrade your ignition system, what are the gains?
Was looking at getting under drive pulleys, and a few people told me its not needed for an Acura?

 

Since the K-series engines use coil packs like most newer cars, ignition upgrades like wires and such are not really useful at all.

However, the underdrive pulleys (not part of the ignition system, obviously) are really good on the TSX. I have the Unorthadox Racing pulley set and the gains at all throttle levels was definitely noticeable and very worthwhile!

 

Okada project makes a plasma direct which is for our coil over plug system.. they are a bit spendy. gains are minimal from what i heard. here is there site http://www.okadaprojects.com/usa/products.htm if you get them post a response on what you think..

Don't waste your money on any ignition upgrades. Your factory ignition is more than capable.

The UR pulleys are a great mod though; some have seen gains of 10whp/10wtq.
