Check the FS section here and on the other TSX forum. They seem to pop up often b/c too many people buy one and then realize that it does create more cabin vibration than they can tolerate. If nothing else, check the forum vendors; I think an ETD goes for $135-150 new

I have one. I have had it disconnected for years because truly it is horrible from an NVH standpoint. It is almost tolerable during the summer, if you don't need to run AC. In the winter though, with a cold engine, don't use it.

Yea, if your car is shaking in the front, you MUST get it fixed by replacing your broken motor mount. The ETD will not take over for an engine mount.

Dude I really think that it could be the plugs. Im at 55k and before i changed my plugs my car didnt shake at all. I got ngk laser iridium plugs and they come pre gapped I checked by using my gapper. Now I get shaking when I am in second gear and I punch it between 3000 rpm and 4000 rpm. I will purchase a front motor mount just in case better to be safe then sorry

My car shakes when I am in second gear and its between 4000 to 5000 rpms. Even in third gear thats where I feel the problem. Do you still think its the motor mount ?

Yes, I think you should have it checked out. One thing is for sure, an engine torque damper WILL NOT fix the problem.

does the front mount go bad often?

Mine has picked up a vibration when at stop lights, if I put the car in neutral it stops but if I just hold the AT with the brake its pretty rough.

there are alot of pros and cons to stiffening the engine up pros are u get less wheel hop and less engine movement so it can help pull off the cons are u do get alot of vibration in the car but thats something u can get used to i mean i got an Ingalls stiffy and custom one off Hond-R billet engine mounts that cost me just over £1000 but imo its worth doing
