I/H/E combo recommendations

Hey Guys,

I've have finally decided to mod my tsx. Looking for suggestions from you guys on the i/h/e setup. So far after reading through the forum I'm leaning toward the injen cai, comptech header, and the greddy evo2.

I know the evo2 has been discontinued but I still see places on the web selling it. Is there a vendor that still have this at a decent price? I saw members in the past paid around $750-$800 for it.

Any advice will be great thanks in advance. : )

I think you can't go wrong with any setup. Although I'm not too sure about DC headers. All I know is I/H/E goes very well with a reflash (if you are able to)

I'm doing the same thing except im going with the Tanabe exhaust and im reflashing first. plus you need to remember if your going to add any horsepower and torque, you will need to upgrade your brakes. i was thinking of getting Hawk Performance Street Brake Pads or HeelToe-Spec stage 1 brake package. either works but that is an important thing to do. also the DC headers have had issues in the past with their flex pipe welding.

I prefer the CT Icebox. But that's a preference, you don't really lose/gain anything going with Injen.

Brakes will come for me later i'm due for new rotors soon. So i'll swap everything out then. the power gains from i/h/e is not going to be that big where it requires new brakes in my opinion.

i read about the DC header issues in the threads which is why i'm going with comptech ones.

I just ordered the a-spec lip kit from AckTL05 so that is going on the car first. trying to find the stores to buy the rest of the parts now.

^ Do you have an automatic? Some members have reported some vibration sound from the CT header during idle. This vibration noise isn't known to happen on a manual. But there is a fix on heeltoe's website under the CT header product. A member brought it to an exhaust shop and they fabricated a bracket to hold down the CT header.
