I'm bored, so asking more future modification questions. Neuspeed's springs don't have any instructions for cutting the bumpstop (or at all), so I'm wondering how much everyone did?

How much did you cut, inchs, %?
How's the ride?
Have you bottomed out?

Spring designs have changed over the last few years. When I had my Eibach and Neuspeed a few years ago for another car, both instructed to trim the bump stops to the amount being lowered. Now, manufactures are designing the springs to use with the bump stops. They even go as far as calling the bump stops "internal springs". When I first installed the Neuspeed, I trimmed the bump stops and noticed the front drop was more than expected but the rear was not affected. I later contacted Neuspeed and was told it's not necessary to trim the bump stops. However, they recommend trimming only the very bottom section if necessary. HTH...

I've cut mine using my pocket knife and from what I remember there are 2 grooves. Just cut on the middle of the top groove and dump out the bottom half (skinny side) and use the top (fat side)

Didn't your Tanabe's come with bump stops? Mine did but I didn't use it cause I was in such hurry I didn't bother looking inside the box. I just took the springs out from the box and slapped it onto the shocks!!!

I haven't cut the bump stops in the last two springs I put in. You usually only need to if you are dropping it over 2-3"... but when you cut your bump stops, you are also much more likely to blow the seal on your struts..
