if you put your lights in the oven. keep the temperature around 200 - 250. plastic melts.
on my civic I would line the bottom of the oven with aluminum foil so I wouldn't have to clean anything up afterwards.
and above all else, take your time. if you need to put the light back into the oven 2 or 3 times, that's fine. it's better to spend alot of time than to fuck up a light.

in sakes of not having to reopen them to reseal them. I would do it just to be safe. I always used an RTV ? silicon sealant that can be had at auto zone for about 3-4 bucks.
I always went heavy on the silicon as to ensure as good of a seal as possible. I would rather clean up excess silicon off of the outside of the assembly than reopen it and reseal it. the silicon basically has a 1 time use. if it doesn't seal the first time then you have to open it up and scrape out all of the silicon from the first time.
for the silicon I recommend getting some disposable vinyl/rubber gloves. and wear old clothes that you don't care about. that silicon seems to have a way of getting into places that you'd never guess and it's a pain in the ass to scrape off.

I used a clear silicon sealant. I more than likely you won't get the assembly apart on the first try. keeping the glue warm helps alot. so when you're trying to open it, it will start cooling, so you might need to put it back in the oven to keep the glue warm enough that you can pull it apart.
when opening the lights the first time, the most helpfull tools I had were a very tiny screw driver (1-2 mm thick. just slightly bigger than eye glass screw drivers) and a pair of wire cutters. you use the little screw driver to get between the two halves of the assembly and use the wire cutters to cut the glue.

I rather leave it how it is but in my case, I'm gonna need to open it up and do some replacing so... btw, are those silcon sealants black? Is there choice of color to this? oem is black so I want to match it up.
thanks,
thanks,
you never said what your actual goal is.
the silicon that I've always bought was clear. I guess you might be able to find it in black. but I've never gone looking for it.

i went to an Acurazine meet and I met a guy who had a 7th Gen Accord and he had resealed his OEM headlights 3 times and reused the factory glue that came with the headlights and he had no condensation or anything on them.

Hope this turns out well, keep us posted. I'd like to do some mods to the headlights but I am a p^$$y. The best part about it is that they already have some condensation in the inside bottom corners. I am debating on saving up for 06 jdm lights or tampering with the originals.
