06 intake cam - singular. Yes probably ok. Better with catback.

Your TSX must have intake / race header / exhaust before installing the cam. If not you are highly likely to have a torque dip after vtec.
I'm considering this setup in addition to my setup:

- 06 intake cam
- 06 valves
- 06 TB
- RBC manifold
- Hytech full exhaust

I could only wonder what tuned gains I'd get from this..

WHOA! so the 06 does gain with a header change. the stock header change from 04/05 to 06 had me wondering about that.

Ok, I had better clarify myself here. The 06 TSX was equipped with DC header and K&N intake and dynoed. It picked up similar power to installing these items on an 04 / 05 TSX.

Then the 06 reflash was installed. After the reflash the power was up 38-40 hp at 6000 rpm.

But what about the folks who just want the 06 internals have already dumped over $3k in suspension, reflash, and tranny work? They would have to do the reflash, aspec, and RSX-S gears all over again.

Doesn't the slightly larger intake VALVES have anything to do with the increased breathing of the engine? Unless you were able to change those, too, I don't think the cams would have as much effect as you'd think. ie: it wasn't just the cams, exhaust, intake, and IM that changed the output of the '06 engine... it was the larger intake valves as well.

w/o changing them, wouldn't that negate some of the flow?

Who would be silly enough to do all that to a not-very-fast luxury sedan?

Yes, but you're still going to get a big difference from that smaller valve staying open further and for longer.

Also I believe the intake valve O.D. was increased by only 1mm, which isn't huge.

Whooa!! $1000 is a major rip off. Yes, I went through a Hondata Dealer, it is the only way you can get your reflash. Hmmm...perhaps you should ask them how they account for the difference in price between 600 USD and 1000 CAD. Even with a generous exchange rate of 20%, the 600 USD comes out to $720 CAD. Also, I forgot to factor in my overnight shipping which was $50 more. They told me shipping back from Hondata to the Hondata dealer is included so they should not be billing you for that. My total cost including shipping but not taxes was $750.
