Hondata HSG question

Im in the proccess of helping a body take apart his head on his RSX type S and since we got the intake manifold off hes deciding to replace the gasket... so now that i know how to take all that stuff off im debating wheter or not i should buy the hondata heat shield gasket... i searched around a little but the threads are old. So what do you guys think? is it a solid upgrade with some gains or am i wasting my time?? Thx

It's a solid upgrade. You probably will not feel anything, I didn't. But it can only help along with other upgrades. It's relatively cheap and not too hard to do, so I'd say go for it

No, it's not the same thing. Hondata makes the "injector base" gasket that goes between the cylinder head and the injector base. Power Rev Racing makes the intake manifold gasket that goes between the injector base and intake manifold.

ppl have installed both with no issues.

i think someone did wonder if the bolts had enough threading to keep everything together since both gaskets are thicker than the OEM ones, and there is enough.

correct me if i'm wrong.
