Hondata alternatives

So it seems hondata is not willing to put in the R/D for the TSX, so is there any other company out there that can do something similar? What about just lowering the vtec engagement point...this seems easy enough. Doing just that and adding a CAI seems like it would give some nice gains.

fdl, how do you know Hondata is'nt coming out witha TSX application?

But if that in fact is true, can you blame them. If there's only 25,000 TSX's a year being sold in NA and only 5% of owners mod their cars is it really worth it for them?

I'd say closer to 50% of RSX owners will mod so it makes more sense. Just a thought.

I am just going by what they said .. "Nothing now, and no plans for the near future". So I am wondering do we have to wait...or is there an alternative. And no I dont blame them, if the R/D costs will be high.

Supposedly the new version of the v-afc from apexi is designed to work with i-vtec motors, the original version one did not. With a CAI and some dyno tuning you might well get a v-afc to give you good gains.
