Exclamation Help...Axxis Ultimates vs Hawk HPS

Hey guys, is there anyone that's tried both the Axxis Ultimates and the Hawk HPS? I probably want a ceramic pad and I haven't tried either brand. Also, does anyone know if this site is reliable? They're selling the front and rear Axxis Ultimates (4 pads) for $95 and the 4 front pads for $55! I really need some help. I know both of these are quality but I'd like someone that knows how much dust comes off each one and overall braking performance of these pads in relation to each other. Thanks for the help!

Everyone seems to sware by the Hawk pads, but i ended up buying the axxis ultimates based on a vtec.net review of the 06 TSX. I haven't installed it yet. I guess you can't go wrong with either one, but you will probably get more votes for the Hawk's.

The Hawk HPS is a ferro-compound and not ceramic. Hawk does make a Performace Ceramic though.

How many people that swear by Hawk have actually used both? I've used both the Hawks and the Axxis Ultimates and I swear by the Ultimates. Sure they dust a bit more, but most good pads do.

Ok, I think I'm gonna go with the Axxis. I've heard the Hawks are a bit harsher on the rotors. Since I've got the stock rotors still, I'm just gonna go Axxis until later. Thanks for everyone's help!

Little late?

I've run both pads on my RSX-S on/off the track. I didn't like the Axis Ultimates much at all... they have absolutely no feel. They might put a nice number in a 60-0 test, but that's about it. Never again for me.

The Hawk HPS are probably the best aftermarket value street pad going. Good price, availability, performance (including winter) with little dust/noise issues.

For street/strip performance I like the Carbotech Bobcats or Ferodo DS2500's better, but the Hawks are a great all around pad. They'll be on my TSX... just undecided if I want to try the ceramics
