Help ASAP!!! Side View Mirror

A couple weeks ago someone smashed up my side view mirror. Luckily it was just the blinker on the side view that broke.

I ordered the blinker from Sunnyside Acura, but it didn't come with any instructions. Can someone scan how to replace the blinker from the Helms? Anyone do this and have pics?

Thanks!!!

I don't have my helms, but I think what you need to do to remove the mirror is...

from the inside pull off that triangle piece at the front corner on the inside of where the mirror is. Just grab it and pull straight out and it should pop off. Then there is a bolt or 2 that will release the mirror from the door. Make sure not to let it fall and hit the side of the door. Then I bet you will have to dismantle the mirror to get that reflector deal out and in.

Good luck?

on the inner side of the mirror pull it back with a little of force (don't yank it) slowly and it should pop right out, mirrors are usually just clamped in with hinges...The easy part I've always found was taking it out, the hard part I always had was putting it back in. You'll just have to learn the trick to it.

Thanks for the advice guys.....I'll try and tackle this tomorrow. The three screws on the bottom of the mirror seem to have damage from water and what not and are suck pretty good. Since I can't get the mirror fully off the car (due to the wire harness) I'll have to find a better way to get leverage on the screws.

someone broke my mirror off, I had to rip the wires out of the (destroyed) mirror in order to fully remove it. I think the harness is somewhere in the door, you might try to take that apart to see if you can find where it connects
