Headers Exhaust Catback's????

now that Comptech is gone what are the next best companies to deal with? I am looking for Headers and I heard that DC were pretty good.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

you don't need a header. Just go to Pep boys and get 2 flow master mufflers cut off your factory ones and have some homeboy at your local muffler shop weld them on. The sound will match your trunk rattle!

Still got love!!!!!

Well DC headers is usually the next choices however there are other options.. like the Topspeed which is a knock off of the Comptech one.. other then those ones there are a few more outside but quality and name wont be that comparable.. unless u go with the race headers from toda or mugen.. which i believe include the CAT with it.. but cost alot of $$$.. as for exhaust there are alot of choices.. mugen, greddy evo and sp2, fubujitsu or watever u call it.. and a few more single exhausts.. as for CATS if you dont get the racing headers your best bet is the random technology cat... hope that helps.

IMO, don't get any header, there isn't a worry free one on the market. comptech has a rattle that's impossible to solve if it shows up, DC breaks, Top Speed rattles.

Topspeed is actually a stainless steel knock off of the DC header.

Topspeed is actually quite good header. It's been holding up pretty well on my TSX. I have Comptech header sitting in my storage room, I'm still debating to install it or not as it seems Comptech has severe rattle issue. I may just go back to stock header when I move to Cali. I don't want any rattle from Comptech header.

But if you're after power, it seemed to me like headers made a big difference, while exhaust, not so much. And what's wrong with getting Jim Bob to weld on some freer-flowing mufflers?

I know this is a totally different topic but since this concerns headers, I have a question. This may sound like a dumb question, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows for sure if this will or will not work. Will a DC sports 4-1 header from a K20 (05 RSX) fit on my (05 TSX) K24? I've been told that it should bolt right up, BUT there may be issues with sway bar clearance, and also the size of the holes on the "exhaust manifold"? The only reason I ask is because i have a friend who is parting out his RSX for cheap. Any feedback is appreciated.

I believe it wont clear the frame, there's no issues mating to the block, but it just wont fit

I believe for these 2 headers you will have to use the CL7 catalyic converter???

The price is on the HyTech Website. I believe the Header is $1300 and Exhaust is $1200 = $2500 for the entire system

YES, it is worth it. Every Penny, even waiting. Allows time to save up

It's like driving totally different car.

It's a little more then one would pay for a Comptech sysytem

Comptech Header: $579.00
Comptech Exhaust: $995.00
Total of $1574.00

For an addditional $1000you can get a sysytem that performs better

thanks man

i really want to go with a single pipe being that the car is a 4cyl there is really no need for a dual exhaust

and with my 06 euro-R kit on order i might look into the bumper plug as well

You should see his dyno with the header/exhaust and CAMS

John has 3 levels of cams available for the TSX, I would just love to have them but can't take my car to Hytech to get a custom re-flash because I live in Michigan. What we need is someone to get the header/exhaust and cams then have them dyno tune a re-flash so they can just sell the kit! Come on SoCal people hook it up!

I just got off the phone with John @ HyTech. The reason for the dual outlet, as opposed to the single outlet would be increased noise level.

Being that it's currently a dual outlet and relatively loud, I can't imagine a single outlet.

So if you're looking for a sinlge outlet HyTech won't be able to help you
