Ground wire kits

I did a search and found several old threads on adding grounding straps. Most people tell you not to waste your money, but when I look at peoples mods, allot of people appear to have installed them.

Any one with facts on whether the do any good or not?

I installed the Buddy Club Racing Spec Condenser earlier this year, which is a combination grounding kit+voltage stabilizer. After about a week I took it off because it wasn't doing ANYthing. Waste of money in my opinion.

04 6MT with Injen CAI and Tanabe catback for other performance mods at the time, for what it's worth.

Thanks!

I went to Autozone this morning and bought a cable that I am going to hookup from the battery to the engine, just for grins. It was $4.99 and is made of 4 gauge wire. I'll try it for $4.99, but not $109.99........

lol guys ground wire is for better route to ground and a more stable voltage. doesnt really do anything for performance. because our vehicles are so new you dont notice anything. ground wire Systems provides valuable grounding for your vehicle's electrical system. This 5 point grounding system substantially reduces electrical noise in your vehicle, which can interfere with the performance of components such as the ignition, distributor, etc. Consequently, the earthing system helps minimize inefficiency and power loss, allowing the engine to perform optimally. Noticeable effects include smoother power delivery and improved throttle response. Highly recommended for older vehicles and heavily modified engines.

OK, I put the cable on yesterday. Goes from the battery fender ground mount to the cylinder head. Car starts and runs, nothing else to report. It is a 2008 and I have not done any engine mods and to be frank, won't be doing any, but seeing that the ground went to the fender, I thought this extra cable could not hurt.

I spent a whopping $4.99 plus the plastic conduit that I already had.
