Me toooo!! Digital Rebel XT vs. Hondata....Going the route of the 350D will cost me more money because i'm gonna end up getting more lenses and accesories. But my TSX is leased...so I dunno if I want to drop $$$ on a car I may or may not keep...

Can the dealer find out if you have it reflashed?

Take the cost of the Rebel XT and multiply by 4 to get your total spend in the first year of ownership. Once you spend a grand on a piece of glass, all sense of reason goes out the window. A few months later and a 1DMKII won't seem too unreasonable.

If they really wanted to, .

Chances are they won't notice.

I guess it's the same way with hondata...first the reflash, then I/H/E, then suspension, bodykit....bleh

Money already spent on taxes and vacation. But.....................I've worked overtime the last few days and maybe, just maybe, there could be Hondata in my future..................

LOL,

I've been soooooo busy at work that its not even funny. April and September are always the roughest for me, particularly this April because I'm going on vacation in early May. Even though, I still manage to peek in on Acurazine and post once or twice. And on the topic of the reflash, I even had a dream about it (seriously). It sounds so easy going with Epic, I'm less than 1 hour away. I could even try to justify the $595 with the overtime I've been putting in (or am I just deluding myself that Mrs. jukja will agree) I'll see how receptive she is after we come back from vacation. May could be a VERY good month for jlukja.

I'm so tempted to get Hondata. I haven't seen anything terrible posted by members after the reflash. I like the fact that Hondata left partial throttle alone so that I can still drive the TSX efficiently when I want to. The only "problem" is that my intake is entirely stock. I might have to invest on a CAI and/or head when I do the Hondata reflash.

I just got a new digital camera (SD500) but that means no toys until next few months, but Torrance is only 30 minutes away

Check out Vwong's review and/or ask him ore about his reflash. He's running with stock header & intake.

I don't think yout necessarily need intake & headers in order to enjoy Hondata.

I used Kindle Racing for the reflash.
I sent the ECU out on a Wednesday about 2 p.m (Cut off time was 4 p.m. at the UPS Store for Next day). It got to Hondata via UPS at 10:30 a.m. on Thurday. They flashed it and sent it back out the same day. I ended up getting it back at 9 a.m. on Friday via UPS Next Day Air Saver.

That ends up being 43 hours from the time the ECU left my hands until I got it back. I was very happy with the turnaround time!

So how is the reflash done??

Is a chip changed out or a reflash of an existing chip in the ECU?

Can we go back to stock..or can we buy a chip and change it back to stock on our own..?

Or can I just hit a button and turn it off<..if not..then can you put one in?
