Fujita Intake Write-up

Over the past couple of weeks, i have been debating between the fujita and the injen intake. after alot of thought, i decided to go with the fujita because of the price, performance during low end, and the one piece setup. I must say the installation was a pain in MY ass. Actually the only really difficult part was the one bolt holding up the resonator box towards the inside of the bumper.... it was like really hard to reach and freakin takeout. But after the long installation about 3 hours, i am very very pleased. Vtec feels and def sounds alot nicer. Still sounds stock under 4000 rmp but when you punch it, and hit vtec, it sounds MEAN and AGRESSIVE. Def not rice... very deep. Very pleased and would recommend this intake to anyone. Fujita FTW now i am addicted.. whats next??? hondata??

The Injen is much easier to install because it is a 2 piece.

The real difficulty is the "bitch bolt" on the resonator, the rest is pretty simple and straightforward whether the CAI is two pieces or one.

Just take off the front passenger side clips to the undertray and wheel well liner, then you can remove the damn bolt through the bottom. I did mine through the fog light cover, and nearly dislocated my wrist (I have an 04)

Yup. Injen took me about three hours. That bolt accounted for around 30 minutes of lying on my back and cursing.

I did it without removing the bumper. I took off my tire and jacked the front of the car up and did the work through the fender.

That bolt shouldn't take more than 30 seconds if you have a 10mm ratchet gear wrench on a 04/05 without fog lights.

I have this same intake, it just came in the mail yesterday. I'll be installing it soon, maybe when it gets warmer. It's going to be single digits here in Chicago I definitely want to install it before I buy the headers so I can enjoy the difference from each mod.

Yup, on a friend's 06, I just removed the bumper and took off the bolt in under 30 seconds.

There is absolutely no difference in installing the two. And I've installed both...

In fact, because of the two piece of the Injen, it takes longer because you have to deal with the two extra clamps and hose.

Make sure you've taken out all the bolts and clips underneath the bumper and the few that hold the top grill shield/cover to the bumper as well. Take off the clips that hold the bumper to the wheel well liner. Then pull the side of the bumpers out to clear the front fender. Then peel the bumper forwards starting from the corners. BTW, you should have someone else help you support the weight of the bumper so you can lift it off the mounting hooks.
