Are you asking about the OEM ones? I believe they are only on with the lowbeams unless you modify it.

alin is correct...they are SUPPOSED to be on with low beams. Having them on with parking lights would be..well..useless.

Well... actually... the point of foglights is that they project light underneath the fogline. If you have them on with the lowbeams it would be pointless because the lowbeam lighting would just reflect back into your face when it bounces off of the fog. With that said, the OEM foglights are made for 100% looks and 0% functionality when it comes to actual fog. Foglights that are made to see actual fog are made to come on by themselves because they are actually functional in the fog.

Not trying to put you down TSXXY just stating the truth.

no harm no foul. From driving experience in the fog I found that the HIDs combined with a more "yellow" halogen bulb is actually quite effective.

and hey - who drives in fog on a normal basis to warrant true functionality from foglights anyway!

Fogs are just plain neat-o on our cars.. and i cant wait to get mine.

By law, you're not allowed to use foglights to substitute for your regular headlights/lowbeams. Fog lights that come on by themselves would get you into heaps of trouble. I don't think Acura would be able to do business here if they were producing illegal vehicles =P

As for which foglights are better...I suppose it depends. The OEM ones will probably look better, since aftermarket ones aren't designed with your specific car in mind. My 06's foglight's light looks icky, so I don't use it...I need to change it to either hyper yellow or to match my lowbeam's look (I don't really need foglights anyway I suppose...I've gotten by without them for years. My last car's HID's would sometimes blind me, but I learned not to tailgate cars in heavy rain ;-P)....

Aftermarket fog lights are pretty good...I installed one in my sister's car, and I bought one for my last car (which I never installed)....they're so super yellow. Only problem is finding a place to mount them.

i believe he's referring to the aftermarket replica fogs, which theoretically would mount in the same location as the OEM fogs. Only issues would be quality of materials, and fitment i assume. Not to mention the switch would not be a factory switch, requiring craftiness as far as making it look good in the car.

I'd do a search in here. I'm sure other members have bought the Ebay fogs and have posted their experiences and recommendations as far as who to deal with and any issues with fitment and installations. IMO, the fogs look great on the TSX.

fitment and everything is good
lens seems thinner i believe.......
however harness and switch won't work.......do a search

if you find older type of jdm replica kit.....they actually work well
all the current fog on ebay's harness will not work...however they can be used as good replacement

It's amazing how many people don't realize how fog lights are really suppose to work.

www.lamin-x.com for the film to protect the fogs.

Hoen sells HID look-a-like halogen bulbs.

xenon-pros.com may sell and HID solution for your fogs.

www.handa-accessories.com for the OEM fogs.

like i said, yellow typically is the color which works best in fog, since HIDs are relatively powerful in their own right, adding a "matched" bulb would somewhat defeat the purpose. I'd say go yellow, or stick with plain halogen.

Yes, it is Lamin-X yellow film on the outside. I had it on my Subaru and liked it a lot. Plus, it helps keep the stone chips at bay. No problems with browning or bubbling. The color with the lights on is a mild yellow but effective and it looks great with the HID's. I may try a pair of yellow bulbs to see what that is like.

I orginally ordered pre-cut circles and was going to trim them to fit. But after receiving ones too small my bad), I made a template of the lense and faxxed it to Lamin-X. They cut them to fit..nice. You may want to call them. Maybe they don't have their page updated. Or, do what I did and fax or mail them a template. I just used wide blue painters tape on the lense, then cut around it and transfered it onto a sheet of paper.

Cheap mod for around $20.

wattage, the Xeon plus run higher then the OE wattage so you'd need the adapter harness. For fogs or hi beams just get the xenon match.

I have the xenon match city lights in my Accord HID retrofit. They match the HID very well.

my xenon match looks fine with 5000K HID's, your's should match even better as the xenon match is more blue then my 5000K set.

If it's not blue enough pair them with some blue Lamin-x film, it'll help save the glass fog lens anyhow.

I cut OE honda fogs like the tsx's from bulk sheets, it's easy.

Sorry no, but I think you'll be more then happy with them in your fogs. The color match won't be dead on, it's still a halogen bulb, but trust me the match will be WAY better then what you have now.

Then be sure to take the time, pop the black trim ring, install some protective film as well before you install them. (like 3M or Lamin-X)

I just ordered from Hoen like last week? You must have messed something up.

The fogs are so small, just buy some bulk film and cut the stuff to the shape of the lens, it's so easy. And don't tell me Lamin-x is out they just shipped me my bulb and TSX film last week as well.
