Fog light for HID, would it melt?

I am planning to have a fog light installed. But also, i plan to buy a hid conversion kit to use hid for the fog light. So here i rise a question, i see the ebay one is selling for 40$$ but acura one is 200$$$. If i use the hid on fog light, will those ebay or acura one would melt, since is plastic and might over heat.

Who have experienced or installed hid lights on their fog light. Please sure this with me.

Those who have purchased ebay fog light, how is it, is the fitting good or is it bad.

Let me know how u think.

No with OEM foglights, OEM ones are glass, not plastic, HID (35w) is cooler than normal halogen bulbs (55w).

That's the critical thing to understand. That cheap eBay ballast however, might get hot, so be careful where you mount it.

I plan to buy a philip ballast, wtever, i will not use most of the equipment from the actual foglight. So i was thinking i could buy those ebay fog light and buy a philip ballast to compensate the pricing issue.

Who have exp to buy the fog from ebay?>??
