Exhaust Install
Exhaust Install
Hi all,
Looking to pickup a Greddy Evo2 exhaust for my new TSX. Question - do I need a torch to cut off the old exhaust and install this? I'm wanting to tackle it on my own if possible, but I don't have access to a torch or welder.
Thanks.

You should not need a torch to remove the exhaust. Unless you live in an area where there is a lot of salt and wintry mixes or near the ocean, the nuts should come off just fine.
If you have a pneumatic cutting wheel, that is the most you would need. Just make sure you buy a new set of those bolts. An easy hint to get to the bolts is once the car is off the ground and on jack stands or a ramp, you lower the stock exhaust by using the jack on the split in the back of the exhaust and lower it down. Of course you'll need to take off the exhaust hangers, but again, once the system is supported on the jack, you can lower it down to give you more room to work on the top bolt of the cat to cat-back connection.
